LHS Music Boosters Bingo, bIngo, biNgo, binGo, bingO! Bingo is the single largest fundraiser supporting LHS Music Boosters. Bingo funds support music students with the following activities: - Student Trip Fund - "To Fund Student Trips"
- “Goal” Fund - "To Benefit the ENTIRE Music Department"
- Scholarship Fund - "To Grant Scholarships to Individual Members"
Trips are an important part of a well-rounded music education experience. Both Band and Orchestra plan one large group trip every two years. The LHS Audition Choirs and Drumline both travel to music competitions and workshops at least once each school year. In the past, Goal Fund has purchased: - New Piano for the Choir/Orchestra Room
- New Recording Equipment for Concerts
- New chairs for the music department
- Chilled water fountains in both the band and choral/orchestra rooms (which were in unusable condition).
- Acoustic shells for the stage
Scholarships can be awarded for three activities: - Music Lessons
- Instrument Repair
- Trips
Scholarships are granted on the basics of need and "in-kind" volunteer hours from working Bingo and Consessions. Applications forms for scholarships can be obtained from the "Forms & Documents" link in the left hand column. Fill one out and give it to your director to apply. It's just that simple!
LHS Music Booster sponsors three weekly bingo sessions at Longmont Bingo Alley and requires a total of 21 weekly volunteer workers. We are in desparate need of Freshman and Sophomore parents to train as caller or manager! Sessions are Monday night at 7:00 p.m. and Friday night at 7:00 p.m. & 10:00 p.m. Adults and students are always needed to work these sessions. Please call Anne Mixer @ 303-682-0276 for more info.
